particularly with women and girls, to facilitate them in connecting with and cherishing their bodies.
Over the years, my passion for body awareness and body trust has blossomed as a result of working as a birth attendant and dance facilitator. Being ‘with’ women in this way has given me a unique understanding of what it means to be in a healthy relationship with the body. Through my training and experience, I’ve come to value the importance and wisdom of the cycles, from the menstrual cycle to the life cycle, and how each inter-connects with the other. Offering workshop and programs on puberty, perimenopause, birth and death as well as movement & mindfulness classes.
“There is deep wisdom within our very flesh, if we can only come to our senses and feel it.”
I have over 18 years’ experience teaching in classroom and workshop settings and have taught diverse groups of people from all over the world, ranging in age from children to adults, and in content from dance to English to puberty education.
Writing and storytelling are a big part of my life. Whether it’s telling the stories myself, or collecting them from others, words have power and I love using them.
I’ve written and edited for numerous parenting publications and was the co-publisher of Barefoot Magazine for three years. I’m the author of a book for breastfeeding mothers and my debut novel for young adults, “Ora’s Gold” came out in August 2016. It has been described as a rollicking read set in a Margaret Attwood-esque dystopia.
